Gas-treatment amines

Gas-treatment amines are liquids that absorb hydrogen sulphide and carbon dioxide. Natural-gas plants, refineries and biogas upgraders circulate them to clean the gas before it enters a pipeline, and they are the standard chemistry for capturing CO₂ from exhaust gases. The same amines are also raw materials for detergents, cosmetic ingredients and metalworking fluids.
